On this page I will start to post some emails this site has received along with my responses.
Email:
RM is a ”master” conman. One of the most accomplished cons you’re ever going to find. A career made by promising people ”truth” by sending him money ”donations”. His ”think and you will know” concept means he has no need for higher education or for disciplined study. He can just ”know” all about physics or whatever. The knowledge just comes to him from the ether. One of his hypnotic techniques (RM is a trained hypnotist) is to interrupt your thinking via harsh statements, and then inserting suggestions to turn the conversation in his favor. He is very clever.
My Response:
I see Roy Masters as a Trojan horse. He gives you resonating truth but it then segues into lunacy. Some people wind up thinking that he’s a visionary when he’s actually a white trash double talker.
One person said that I would have persecuted Galileo. Roy Masters is not Galileo.

How can you take yourself seriously when you make a statement that
light doesn’t slow down , it just loses it’s “net speed”? Losing “net
speed” is slowing down. You seem to do what you accuse Roy of doing,
stating something is so just because you state it is so. You say
electrons are pulled from a copper wire by the magnetic field passing
it. but if that were true then the copper would eventually lose all
of it’s electrons. An atom of copper has 29 electrons. Copper coils
are used for years and years without much degradation. Stating that
the electrons come from the copper itself is asinine.”

My Response:
I don’t mind occasional emails like yours. I may have to keep watering done what I’ve written for people.
I have my litany of faults but I don’t quite get “coward”. I’ve learned basic science and worked in the field for over 25 years. Roy can neither have a true discussion on the topic or even open a physics book.
I feel that I gave perfectly accurate description of the points of well-established physics I stated. Perhaps I have to be patronizing.
Anyone who thinks that light slows down passing through a crystal and then speeds up on the other end is ignorant. pHere I put the description of how a photons moves through a transparent material which you can read on the front page of this website.]
“Losing “net speed” is slowing down.” – WRONG!!! If I pass a light from one point to another and it takes 1 billionth of a second, then I take the same light and first bounce it off a couple of mirrors before sending it to the second point —— it takes longer. It may upset you, but that’s what it does. No laws of physics are violated. Nice, rational explanation. Roy believes that the light moves exactly as it does in space —- merely slower. This thought lead to his next point of confusion and so on and so on.
As for current flow; a moving magnetic field causes electrons to flow. If the copper is a closed loop, the current flows around and around (no electrons are “lost”). If you wish to convert the current to usable electricity you do indeed need to keep resupplying electrons to the copper at the same rate at which you draw them out. This usually done byfabricating a complete “circuit” path for the electrons.
If you are looking at the magnetic field emanating from a copper wire, it is coming from the electrons moving in the current flow. To sustain the current flow you must hook the wire up to a power source (e.g., your wall socket or a battery) in order to keep resupplying the electrons.
If you’re dealing with emotional conflict and think Roy will help, I suggest that after a while you’ll see that some of what he says is correct, and some is loony. His physics is part of the looniness. So is:
- His certainty that he’s right.
- His empty posturing that he’s willing to debate these points.
- His delusion that he’s amenable to seeing if he’s wrong.
I’m perfectly willing to discuss these points. Where’s Roy? By my standards he’s like a few executives I’ve sometimes run into in industry. They want prestige without breaking a sweat. A good technologist doesnt even want the prestige.
Roy is using the debilitation of his listeners to feed his own deep, juvenile vanity.
