Email Exchange With Roy Masters
Back in the summer of 2009 I wrote to the FHU message board. I made some negative comments about Roy finishing off with “Keep in mind that Roy is so delusional that he wrote a book on physics without first reading anything on the topic.”
Of course they didn’t post the response. Roy himself emailed me calling me “cowardly” followed by “If you would like to be a guest on my program all you need do is pick up the phone and tell me to my face exactly what you wrote in that e-mail. Then we shall then see how your deformations* stand in the light of reality.
I wonder if you realize that you are playing the role of a bushwhacker. Call me tonight and let me see your backbone.”
I told him that I didn’t see the usefulness of calling since it would only feed his “self-importance”. I did continue to submit unpublished comments to FHU including a detailed critique of the book “Finding God in Physics”. I also explained to him what the expression “the speed of light is slower in glass” actually meant. Further, I wrote that he thinks that science is only a thin veneer of information and, also, that by shrouding his personal neuroses in the process of giving advice to other people he keeps from ever having to take an honest look at himself.
Roy’s response:
“My dear gutless wonder.
Please call in your comments to a live person and stop bushwhacking me with your e-mail. I suspect you are afraid of confrontation. Failing that please do not bother me with your tripe.”
I then sent another message to FHU.com. I believe it was merely warning FHU staffers to be careful themselves with regards to Roy.
Roy’s response:
“Have the courage to call your sarcasm in on the Saturday show, and see how you measure up to me in public.”
My response was:
“Get a semi-impartial moderator and I’ll call in.”
He never responded. Here you see the location of his bs exposed. On this topic he’s a big talker without substance. I even contacted someone at FHU who had suggested I call Roy’s program. I wrote, “Roy emailed me again to call in. I told him I would if he has someone moderate our discussion. He has now gone silent.”
Their response was: “A moderator might be a first.”
I then sent Roy the following message:
“Dear White Trash One,
You don’t want to debate me because you sense that you’ll lose stature.” I then told him that it was OK because I found a place to post the response to his writings and commentary on physics. I then put up this website.
* Let’s assume he meant “defamations”.
